Topic #31 Inspiration

This weeks topic is a simple one.

Who or what inspires you most in life?

Topic #30 Give us your story!

They say that everyone has one good story within their capabilities, and since this is the month of Nanowrimo (almost at its end folks!) we´ve decided to dedicate this weeks topic to you! For those of you already doing Nanowrimo this may well be a cinch for you, provided you are willing to bare all shall we say.

This week we would like you to think about your story. It can be anything – memoirs, fantasy… whatever. Then we´d like you to do one of two things:-

1) Write an introduction to your story. Tell us about it.

or

2) Write your opening paragraph.

Obviously we´d prefer it if you did the latter, but if you´re a little challenged for time (or just a wuss like me) you are perfectly welcome to just give us a brief.

Topic #29 Look ma, it’s in 3D!

Welcome to another Topical Tuesday! This week we would like to read your opinion on the 3D craziness happening out there. This is 3D week for the British Channel 4 and they will be broadcasting different shows and films in 3D. People can get hold of the 3D glasses required to watch the 3D content for free from supermarkets across the country but this is only the most recent instance of the 3D madness. Last week, inspired by the Channel 4′s “3D week”, BBC Radio 1′s Scott Mills asked people on the street to wear those 3D glasses and then proceeded to question them on whether they preferred to see the world in 3D (meaning through the 3D glasses). Yes, it’s silly but that’s how big a topic we’ve let it become so we’d like to bring the conversation over to you!

Is seeing a film in 3D (using those special glasses) important to you or something you really enjoy? Do you think it’s the same old fad coming back? Does it make things better or is it a gimmick?

You have a week to tell us and each other. Your time starts now. ;)

Topic #28 Morning Madness

Welcome to another Topical Tuesday! You guys are embracing the week-long topics and we couldn’t be happier. It seems like we’re keeping things this way at least for now.

This week we are looking to hear from you about your morning rituals. Are you a morning person? How long does it take you to get out of bed and out the door? Do you have breakfast at home? Do you skip breakfast altogether and have a coffee on the go or at the office (or wherever else you go to during the day)? We want to know it all!

You have until the 16th of November to tell us all about it. Get blogging and remember to link back to us or leave us a comment so we know you are taking part!

Topic #27 Past, Present & Future

This weeks Topical Tuesday is in three parts. It all about reflections -

Where were you ten years ago?
Where are you now?
Where would you like to be in ten years?

As Colin highlighted last week you now have the entire week ahead to complete your entries, so you no longer have the excuse of a busy life not to partake!

Post your entries on your blog, and dont forgot to trackback, ping, or comment to let us know!

Topic #26 Is it Cristmas already?!

Here at Topical Tuesday, we strongly dislike Mondays (hate is too harsh a word… apparently). So from now on our weeks start on Tuesday! Won’t you join us? We should let you know that this is only phase one of the master plan to completely get rid of that horrid day that starts with M. We’ll only say one thing. Don’t buy your calendars just yet. ;)

Hello, hello HELLOOOOO! Welcome back to another edition of Topical Tuesday! We have something very exciting to announce today. We understood that giving you a topic for a day is not enough. I mean, the one day is not enough, not the topic. We figured it would be better to instead have the topics run from Tuesdays and last until the next Monday instead of just the one day. This way you can write and post your entries on your blog on whichever day you wish and until the next topic is announced. Isn’t this much better? We will be trialling this starting today and through November but we believe this is a change that will be welcomed by all. Remember nothing is stopping you to post your entries on Tuesday but now you have more freedom to fit the topic into your blogging schedule/frequency.

To kick things off, this week’s topic is: Is it Christmas already!? Now, before you jump me and try to kill me with mince pies, let me clarify. I have been seeing Christmas decorations and adverts creep up around me through October. What do you have to say about Christmas becoming so commersialised that it’s “on sale” 2 months in advance? Or is this something you like? More time to do your Xmas shopping and cross things off your list?

Go on! Write! Don’t forget to link back to be included in the permalinks section below or leave a comment to let us know you posted your entry on your blog. If you have any suggestions for next week’s topic let us know through the comments or twitter!

Your week starts now!

No topic this week

Unfortunately all TT contributors this week have been extremely busy (in one occasion even ill) so we do not have a topic ready for you guys this week. However, feel free to write a Pink October themed post today.

We will be back next week with a great topic for all of you and an important announcement. Stay tuned.

In the meantime you can leave a comment to this post if you are interested in joining our team and becoming a contributor as well. Plus, you can always send us “one off” ideas for weekly topics as well (via the comments section). We will be happy to feature you.

Topic #25 Commercialisation of Pink October

In case you´ve been living in a closet this month, the web is pink in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness. Pink for October has become a long standing tradition in some quarters, with a large following.

Pink October in general however has been coming under fire for a number of years. Some arguing that it is way too commercialised, and has become little more than a money making endeavour for big business – specialised products created especially for this month, with only a small donation being handed to the specific charities being just one example.

What are your thoughts? Is it too commercialised? Should we think before we pink as some suggest?

Topic #24 Pink October Breast Cancer Awareness

THE BOOBY SCARE Featuring Alyson Hannigan, Emily Deschanel, Kat McPhee, Minka Kelly and Jaime King – watch more funny videos

In tribute to Pink October and Breast Cancer Awareness month we are going pink, not just in our design – but in our topics.

Firstly we kick off with the most logical of topics – Breast Cancer tales. Most people know, or have known, an individual who has suffered from Breast Cancer.  If you have a tale to share, we would appreciate it if you would take part in Topical Tuesday today, and do precisely that.

Also, do not forget that this is also Boobiethon Tuesday and the last day to take part! So if you have no stories to tell (which is unlikely since we all know someone who had to deal with Breast Cancer) we urge you to take a photo of your boobs (female or male, it doesn’t matter) and post it to your blogs and/or to the Boobiethon website. Heck, why not do this anyway? Go on! These guys are raising money for Breast Cancer Research and awareness on the issue of Breast Cancer. Show them some love!

Topical Tuesday is pink

Topical Tuesday has turned pink for Pink October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As a special tribute all out topics this month will be orientated around this very topic – breast cancer and boobs!

Tune in for our first topic on Tuesday!
